Reports to HBOE OWNERS AND GENERAL MANAGER

Job purpose

To provide accountability for managing day to day kitchen and restaurant operations as a
Pitmaster and Chef of Heaven’s Barbecue On Earth and, contribute to high customer satisfaction of product and service.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of your work station and the Kitchen.
  • Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food- handling practices.
  • Comply with all portion sizes, quality standards, Kitchen rules, policies & procedures.
  • Set up Line according to kitchen guidelines and par sheets.
  • Pre-cut ingredients such as vegetables, and other food items et-cetera, in order to reduce the preparation time for dishes.
  • Memorize all ingredients and portion sizes for the menu items.
  • Wrap, date and refrigerate food.
  • Complete and participate in Line Checks to ensure that quality products are served.
  • Assist with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-ins, and all storage areas.
  • Use kitchen utensils, knives and equipment safely and in a responsible manner.
  • Work as a team and use positive communication skills at every opportunity.
  • Clean, stock, and maintain the Line throughout shift.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies.
  • Sets up, stocks, and organizes workstation.
  • Receive supplies from food distributors and stock as appropriate to all areas.
  • Cuts and prepares food items.
  • Uses knives, measuring ladles, scoops, scales, can opener, or other kitchen equipment, tools or utensils.
  • Maintains proper food storage temperatures and rotation using FIFO Method.
  • Understands and can easily discuss all quality identifiers of our meats.
  • Organizes items for preparation in order to ensure accuracy of items ordered.
  • Comprehends all production sheets and tools and can use them effectively in daily operations.
  • Assists co-workers as needed to maintain restaurant volume and guest satisfaction.
  • Ensures cleanliness of work area and equipment throughout shift through WASH –

RINSE – SANITIZED not limited to floor, lunch area, and washroom cleaning daily.

  • Follows health department standards for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen area.
  • Follows safety procedures and standards when operating all equipment.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities, work under stress and exercise good judgment.
  • Cooperates with co-workers and managers to meet the demands of the kitchen.
  • All other duties will be assigned by Owners and General Manager
  • Must adhere to uniform and grooming policy

  • HS Diploma or 2 years of Prep or line cook experience
  • Serve Safe Food Handler Certifications
  • Serve Safe Allergen Certification

Physical requirements

This is a physically demanding job where the incumbent is required to stand for extended periods of time, lift heavy objects on a regular basis, do repetitive tasks with few breaks, and so forth.

Salary

$33,280 Annually through bi-weekly pay periods
Bonus payout based on Restaurant’s financial performance, work performance, Attendance, and
Conduct.

Job description

Job purpose

  • Manage three Part Sink, wash dishes, glasses, cups, trays, silverware, and food service equipment.
  • Sets up and cleans three-part sink, handwashing sinks and prep sinks as needed, checks temperatures and soap dispensing levels.
  • Stores clean equipment and utensils.
  • Assists in maintaining preparation and service areas in a sanitary condition.
  • Empties garbage in FOH and BOH and moves to dump site.
  • Sweeps and mops FOH and BOH floors.
  • Work as a team and use positive communication skills at every opportunity.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies.
  • Receive supplies from food distributors and stock as appropriate to all areas.
  • Maintains proper food storage temperatures and rotation using FIFO Method.
  • Assists co-workers as needed to maintain restaurant volume and guest satisfaction.

To provide accountability for managing day to day restaurant operations as a Cashier and Dining Room Attendant for Heaven’s Barbecue On Earth and, contribute to high customer satisfaction of product and service.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Responsible for greeting our guests and taking their orders accurately in a friendly manner.
  • This position requires knowledge of the menu items and their ingredients
  • Responsible for ensuring that each order is complete and prepared properly, the team member will have to become familiar with all the menu items and their packaging for carryout and catering orders.
  • Responsible for cleanliness in the dining room, customer washrooms, trash receptables and service to our guests
  • Responsible for insuring that each guest receives exactly what was ordered, both promptly and courteously. Orders must be directed to the dining room, curb side and pick up areas in an orderly and organized manner. All orders must be verified for correctness and completion.
  • Responsible for filling all drink equipment.
  • Become familiar with customer service procedures.
  • Sets up, stocks FOH supplies and tables including keeping an organizes workstation.
  • Receive supplies from food distributors and stock as appropriate to all areas.
  • Assists co-workers as needed to maintain restaurant volume and guest satisfaction.
  • Ensures cleanliness of work area and equipment throughout shift through WASH – RINSE – SANITIZED not limited to floor, lunch area, and washroom cleaning daily.
  • Follows safety procedures and standards when operating all equipment.
